It's the best seller for a reason. With everything needed to properly correct the handling problems heavy Sprinters can experience, our 4.3 kit is the go-to choice for many owners. Whether you are looking for maximum stability in highway travel and treacherous wind conditions, or maximum compliance off pavement, we're able to minimize side to side sway and balance out jarring impacts using our deep knowledge of suspension tuning.
The cornerstone of our Stage 4.3 kit is the 4-corner, adjustable Falcon 3.3 Fast Adjust Shocks with their huge range of compression adjustment available at the simple flip of a large, easily accessed Fast Adjust knob. This allows you to quickly adjust from the softest to firmest settings over a significantly larger range than the competition's smaller adjusters. A larger range of adjustment means the shocks are more effective and adaptable to multiple modes of use.
The rear mini leaf spring pack, tuned specifically to work with the stock rear leaf spring, restores lost ride height and corrects sag while retaining the quiet ride of the factory leaf spring. Typically, 1.25" of rear lift is seen, resulting in a nicely leveled stance.
Our progressive foam Bump Buddy replacement jounce bumpers replace your hard factory rubber bump stops, adding improved spring curve progression, reducing sway, and increasing bottom out resistance without any unnecessary clunking or harshness.

we just had our Stage 4.3 System with the Baja Bracket install on our 2025 2500 Sprinter van. Alabama Truck Outfitters in Birmingham Alabama did the install and they were fantastic! We had a 4 hour drive after the install to see how the new system preformed but all we needed was driving out of the parking lot to feel the difference!! We are so excited to leave on our trip West in a week and take the van off road with confidence!
Overall, I’m satisfied with the Stage 4.3 system. My Sprinter’s ride seems more firm and stable. I haven’t had a chance to try it out in heavy cross winds. This will be a big test of the value to me at some point.
I must say that the install did not go as smooth as I hoped. Whether it’s due to mild design issues with the brackets or to the issues with slight variations in Sprinter builds, things did not just always fit into place without some adjustments. For instance:
The passenger side nut tab for front shock did not fit flat because of an elevation in the frame.
The Baja Bracket “bung spacer” bolt did not slide into the frame easily (it always seems difficult to line things up through 3 or 4 frame holes).
Putting on the black rubber shock boot covers up some of the instructions.
Cutting out the wheel well liner took longer than expected and so did removing the glue from the frame.
For me, working under the van with basic tools and getting the full torque settings correct took some extra time and effort.
A problem I had (but many persons won’t have) is rust. My Sprinter is 4 years old and several of the nuts were quite difficult to remove, especially the leaf spring U bolt nuts. This is not a Van Compass issue.
One of the most difficult things was getting all of the five leaves lined up and the center pin of the lift block to line up. When I jacked up the vehicle the axle moved almost an inch to the rear. After a bit of trial and error I taped and wired the 3 new leaves to the one lower stock free leaf and was able to line the new pin up and everything seemed to move back into position well. This took some time.
I’m sure it would be easier if I did it again someday but doing it for the first time was a little frustrating.
Installed beginning 2024. Complete transformation of the van. Inspires confidence. No issues . Love e the adjustability. Problem free SUV like handling .Highly recommended. Go with VC great products!
We enjoy this system for stability in all aspects on and off road, as well as, the ease at which you can change the settings. That said, our rear shock failed within 10 months - unfortunately- we missed our warranty window because we didn’t take it in until after 12 months. We now need to replace both rear shocks +labor for $1200.
This kit comes with every single nut, bolt, washer, bracket, and component as well as extremely well documented English instructions. The install with the Baja brackets took me two full days as a driveway/Jack stands install. The price plus the labor is a significant investment but after 600 miles so far I can say that the ride has improved significantly. The bouncing, swaying, bottoming out of the rear suspension has nearly been eliminated and I can drive now with much more confidence and comfort. Well done VC team and thank you for putting together the 4.3 kit for all of us to enjoy.
I will add that a cutting template would be nice for cutting the inner fender liner. Also, one mistake I made was using three 3/8”x1” bolts on the passenger side front upper shock bracket where I was only was supposed to use two. This shorted me one bolt for the driver side. No big deal really but the extra hole in these brackets made it a bit confusing.
