The rear entry height on the new Mercedes Sprinter VS30 allows for easy loading of cargo, however stepping in or out of the van through the rear doors is quite the leap. Our high clearance full width tug step preserves ground clearance and departure angle, while adding a safe, sturdy step surface to enter the rear of your van. Heavy duty D-ring shackle points tie into your OEM towing hitch and offer a secure location to pull from during recovery.
The main chassis tie in plates of the rear step are constructed from 3/8" thick high strength steel and feature anchor points for 3/4" D-ring shackles which can be used for recovery pull points. Compatible with parking sensors, the step surface is 67" wide and protrudes approximately 5" from the factory plastic bumper cover (8-5/8" from the back of the factory hitch cross tube).

Excellent quality. Super easy to install! Great edition to my van
This step was exactly what I was looking for. This is the second one I have purchased. I didn’t have to takeoff my trailer hitch or do anything that I thought I might have to do. Fit seamlessly over my trailer hitch from factory.
The powder coating does not last. Expect significant rust within 18 months. It just looks out of place (quality wise) when mounted on a MB Sprinter
Great service
I installed this bumper myself four years ago. It worked well and was very convenient. Unfortunately, it is made of steel, and the laminated plastic coating breaks down over time. I did not physically damage the bumper, but it sort of uniformly started to corrode along the bottom edge. The “rust/rot” began to eat upward. On the positive side, the plastic laminate cover is pretty tough, so a casual observer could not actually see any rust — it still looked good. After four years, I removed the bumper and replaced it with a more expensive aluminum upgrade.
