REAR STORAGE TRUNK - SPRINTER (2007+) by VAN COMPASS
REAR STORAGE TRUNK - SPRINTER (2007+) by VAN COMPASS
SKU:5003
Add more storage and functionality to the rear of your Sprinter van with the Van Compass Rear Storage Trunk. For many van owners, the choice to relocate their vehicle's spare tire to a rear swing out on the bumper opens up an abundance of unused space underneath the rear of the vehicle. Take full advantage of the space where the factory spare tire was mounted by dropping in this fully sealed trunk. With a 300lb cargo rating, this trunk provides more cubic feet of storage in the vehicle which can be utilized for a number of scenarios:
- House auxiliary batteries out of the elements while allowing for easy service of electrical systems.
- Install an auxiliary diesel fired heater.
- Use as a shower pan.
- Fill with ice and use as a built in cooler.
- House heavy recovery gear and tools in the trunk.
- Mount water tanks and plumbing systems so they are out of the elements and are easily serviceable.

The trunk box is a great piece of kit to add to your van. I am using mine to hold my Rego battery pack and the my compressor. The only downside to the produce is it arrived damaged. Three of the four corner flanges were bent and cracked at the welds. This was due to damage during shipping. The shipping box had no damage to it so you wouldn't know until you open it. There needed to be better packing around the corner flanges to absorb the impacts in that area. I had to take the storage trunk to a welder to have the corners straightened and spot welded. Other than the shipping damage the trunk is a great solution for gaining space. I sprayed mine with truck bed liner before installing it. A great solution to add storage for heavy items low down in the van.
This added a great deal of stealth storage to my rig. it also has doubled for a monster ice chest on occasion. Stoked on it VC!
Loving my van compass storage box! Now that I have it I can’t imagine not having it. It fits all my recovery gear and 4 gallons of spare fuel. I will probably use it to store my wetsuits too. Can’t recommend enough!
