Thanks to a low hanging factory cover loss of gear is a real concern for Sprinter owners, whether from a low hanging obstacle or careless shop tech using the wrong jack point. Our differential skid plate protects the driveshaft u-joint, cast iron differential center section and lower portion of the thin sheet metal differential cover from being peeled back, and bolts on in minutes with simple hand tools. Gear oil changes can still easily be performed without skid plate removal.

Diff skid plate

The van compass differential skid plate is heavy duty and should protect the rear differential cover very well. Holding the plate up in a floor jack to long everything up, It appeared that the front U bolt holes were not drilled or cut perfectly and took a little hole enlarging and quite a bit of maneuvering and tapping to get the U bolt to clear the left front hole edge and to get a socket on the nut. Would have been nice to be easier but when everything finally came together the finished product fits very tight and should be great protection for the diff cover.

i really liked their front winch bumper

the diff skid is good, had to grind some to get a standard wall socket to work on the front U-bolt.
i think the set-up jig might be a hair off for my 2024.
rather not have to grind away the powder coating.
looks like it will protect the diff cover and yoke well.
"good investment" if you have a nice die grinder.

I not only bought this diff skid plate, but had my local Les Schwab install a Stage 3.0 system on my van. This mod is a game changer for me. It restored the ride height in the rear of the van, and makes the van feel more planted yet compliant. I came from driving a VW Tiguan with sport springs, and adding this to my van makes it feel as close to that ride in a big ol' tall girl.
