While the Sprinter may be a deceptively capable platform, one of the most glaring oversights was the lack of a proper front recovery point. The factory tow truck hook is only adequate at best for simply loading onto a flat bed. Our tow point solves this problem entirely, and serves as a great upgrade for customers not wanting the cost, complexity or weight of a winch bumper.
By replacing the factory overrun mount with a heavily reinforced, CNC formed 3/16" steel bracket, we are able to add a connection point for standard D-ring shackles, as well as the more modern 'soft shackles'. A formed channel brace also ties into the front subframe mount, creating the strongest recovery point on the market.
Sold as a pair of left and right tow points, and includes all mounting hardware.

When I add the 2" lift to my Van Compass 4.3 Suspension to 2025 Sprintwer EKKO, I had to replace the front skid plate with one for a 2" lift. Mike L. at Van Compass recommended also adding the front recovery hooks at the same time. Wise decsion to do so. I installed it myself with no issues, pretty straight forward installation. I may add some D shackles later to the recovery brackets. Highly recommend it.
I installed the two recovery points while I was doing the from VC suspension and truly it was easy. The driver side no issues at all, including drilling the extra hole for my 2500. Passanger side required taking one of the M8 holding the DEF tank out (per instructions) but I have ALSO loosen the two other ones and that helped a lot - highly recommend it).
The instructions attempted to address the finicky points in the process of installing the product. But fell short in illustration and description. Perhaps a video would help. I would have saved me a few hours of head scratching.
That said, the component quality and finished result is aces.
You can probably lift thr van with these hooks. Nothing too difficult in the installation. But, even assisted by a highly skilled Honda race technician, it still took us 5 hours. Not the 2 - 3 hours advertized.
Hope I never need them. But it will be highly appreciated if I do.
You could offer the option of just one. The drivers side is considerably easier. I can't imagine ever needing them both.
Installation was fast and smooth on my 2023 rwd. The one bolt next to the DEF tank was a tight fit but the work around was detailed in the excellent instructions.
These front tow hooks are beefy and have a stout attachment.
I've installed several V.C. products and have been pleased with the build quality and support every time.
