I always install engine skid plates on my 4x4's worth the peace of mind if you drive off road, even on easier rated trails. Easy install if you have any type of industrial skills, no help, no jack.... Fast shipping and great communication.
great piece of protection for the van, installs easily and comes with good instructions. If you spend much time underneath yours you will see that this piece is well worth its cost. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Absolutely love the engine skid plate. Comes bare so you can paint/ powder coat it any color you want. Did the driveway install, the only tricky part is the spacers (they tell you this in the instructions). I used a tie wrap around mine to hold them upright and to extend my “reach” inside the frame with them.
Highly recommend this product.

We purchased the Engine, Transmission, and Diff Skid Plates. With the use of the You Tube Video from Owl Vans, the plates were not difficult to install myself. One 61 year old man, on his back, in the driveway.
The most difficult part is installing the spacers which I came up with a great solution for. Using a metal coat hanger, I cut off a piece about four inches long. I folded it into a "U" shape essentially making a "Spring". At the top I folded tabs over. Insert the "Spring" from the top into the holes of the frame. Slide the spacer up onto the "Spring". When you get everything lined up and push the screw through, it will push the "Spring". No cutting your fingers trying to get these spacers in.
If you would like a picture of my "Spring" email me at: [****] and I will send you a picture.
