FLOATING LIGHT MOUNT - SPRINTER (2019-PRESENT) by VAN COMPASS

PROS: Easy order process, quick delivery, well packaged, and protected. Well-written instructions with pictures in the PDF. Wedge blocks seem well thought out and are a good addition.

CONS: The “wings” (outermost attachment points) were not square, and neither hole would line up. Would not fit my 2023 Sprinter/2025 EKKO without a couple of hits from my soft-faced, dead-blow hammer. Hammer each vertical part with light/medium hits in a horizontal direction. Check fit after each hit to confirm hole alignment is correct. Do not hammer more than needed or use a metal-faced hammer (powder coat may chip or come off).

FYI: If you have a dual horn setup, the extra silver washer is not needed, and you will need to take into account your wiring and routing. This mount did not interfere and is compatible with my Agile Offroad Horn Upgrade. Other dual-horn kits that are similar may also fit.

Although there was a robust, 1-inch x 3ft piece of wood to protect the mount from bending, the box is suspiciously compacted, and the shipping company (not VanCompass) may have been the cause of my fitment issue.

I chose the RoadShock Edge series, 6-LED lights. The mounting brackets required me to drill a slightly larger hole for the center mounting bolt. If you have the cash, a larger LP9 size light would look great and be sized about the same as the MB silver star logo.

Overall, very happy and an easy install!

Had previous model for a 2020 Sprinter. Just installed this new version on a 2024. The old model was very good but this new model is even better.

Great solution to add lights to the front of a Sprinter.

Installed this to my 2022 Revel. Like the others, easy install on the mount, but do need to follow the instructions, read first just like I did. The mount do jiggle and very noticeable when driving with LP6s installed. Tried retightening the mounting screws and still the same, jiggle still there. Thinking of adding support to the mount for there’s only really two solid screws that holds the light mount, the other two…, screws into the plastic engine cover. Maybe the mounting point can be improve.

The LP9's weigh in at 6.5lbs each and require a quality constructed mount. The Floating Light Mount is the perfect compliment to the front of a Sprinter platform. Following the instructions made for a simplistic install for any DIY'er. I love the look and this is a solid way to mount any auxiliary lights.
