Add function to the front of your Ram Promaster / Fiat Ducato with the Van Compass front receiver hitch. Designed to hold items like bike/motorcycle racks or cargo carriers. Constructed from 3/16" steel plate and 1/4" thick square tube. Powder coated black for corrosion resistance. The hitch replaces and replicates the stock front steel bumper hidden under the plastic bumper cover. It strengthens the chassis and provides further protection over the thin factory steel bumper. The hitch retains the front license plate in the original location and is a bolt on installation with no drilling required.

    I am very happy with this product. It bolt right on and is a perfect replacement for the factory. I love the additional functionality I will have with the front hitch. I installed this myself and it took some time but is totally doable if you have any level of mechanical capability :). Well done!

    Very nice product!

    Heavy gauge, well engineered, great welds. Only things that would be nice, would be to incorporate the tow hook threaded insert that's on the OEM bumper. Kind of a bummer to lose that. And color instructions. I know you can download a pdf to your phone but for the extra $1 on an $800 product it would be nice to have a colored paper version vs waking up the phone repeatedly.

    2018 promaster front hitch

    Bought this in 2020 and have used it to carry my spare tire. I do have a spare tire cover on. There has been no issues with it making my Promaster RV running hotter than normal. I did not do the install. I took the instructions to my corner garage while I was having other work done and they put it on. They said it was very simple. I am totally pleased with this. I am writing this review today B/C a neighbor wants to install one also so I was looking up the info for him and saw that there weren't many reviews.

    Perfect Fit

    The build quality and accuracy of this hitch is perfect.
    Instructions are well written with plenty of photos to go with the text. I didn’t have to bend, tweak, or change anything. It just fit perfectly. If you do any work on your own vehicles you can handle this install. The tools required are simple. Phillips head screw driver, 8, 10, and 15mm sockets or wrenches, #30 torx drive, and something like a reciprocating tool to cut out the plastic grill for receiver tube clearance. Welds were excellent, clean, and good powder coat finish.

    Very good quality

    Hi, I bought this item, finally someone makes it. Thank you, VanCompass! It came a bit later but It was worth it to wait.Very good quality product and easy install. Unfortunately, if you have grill guard on your van just like me, you cannot install back without having modifications on it. I had to cut two sections out and also had to make two extensions for the upper security plates of the guard. Without the guard it would have been a very easy installation. App. 4 hours. George
